1. What is Advanced Direct Remailer for?

ADR is a multifunctional program for sending e-mails. ADR supports two modes of sending e-mails: 1) through ISP (Internet Solutions Provider) mail server as usual programs do and 2) direct message delivery to recipient server. In both modes ADR sends messages in several threads and thus delivers mails several times faster. ADR has internal SMTP server and so you can use ADR as an addition to any mail program. Moreover, all employees of your organization can use ADR installed on your computer, not only you.

Also, ADR has a number of distinguishing features such as mailing lists, user's message processing programs (plug-ins), database support, automatic detection of dead addresses in mailing lists and open API for programmers.

ADR ensures not only faster mail sending in your organization but also personified sending by database or mailing list. ADR allows you to use templates for merge mailing list with database, process all outgoing mail or its part by plugins, save your time and network traffic because of automatic catching of dead addresses in list. 2. How does ADR send messages?

ADR supports two modes of sending e-mails. The first one is a usual sending through provider mail server as mail clients do. Turn on this mode by "Delivery via ISP" switch in "Delivery" menu of Monitor window.

In second mode ADR sends message directly to recipient server bypassing your provider mail server. Here ADR acts as full-function provider mail system. Mail server address of message recipient is extracted from DNS (Domain Name Service). ADR connects with the found server and sends your message. This mode is more referred for sending mail because in this mode your message is delivered to the destination directly without waiting in outgoing mail queue of your provider. In this mode, ADR catches about 90% of "dead" addresses, and so you save your time and traffic by decreasing the return stream of messages with the remark that this address doesn't exist anymore.

In both modes ADR sends messages not by queue (as usual mail programs do), but using a several threads - that is up to 10..15 times faster.

3. What is the program productivity?

ADR uses direct multi-thread delivery - it sends several messages directly to your recipients' mail servers simultaneously. SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is based on dialog between sender and receiver. Usually data transfer channel is loaded poorly because the software have to interrupt the sending after each piece of data, wait for second party answer and only then send the next data portion (instead of continuous data receiving-sending). It is especially appreciable for sending a large number of messages a few kilobytes each. So usual mail program will send the thousand of messages 1 kilobyte each from 1 till 3 hours using 33.6k modem connection.

ADR ensures 100% usage of your modem capabilities, or whatever percentage you want. ADR will send the same thousand messages through 33.6 K modem in as little as 5 to 15 minutes. You say, unbelievable? Well, check it out or calculate! To send 1600 K, including overhead, such a modem (33.6k is about 4 kilobytes/sec) needs about 400 seconds, or less than 7 minutes!
